A few weekends ago Rich took a quick trip to visit his friend Phil Herranen of Herranen Spearguns in Santa Cruz.  Phil was nice enough to cut new bands for Rich’s spearguns and he loaned him some equipment for his trip to San Diego (which will be Part II of this video).

  1. Hi, i read your post about the Slick Strips http://www.woodcraft.com you posted in 10/2013. are they still attached. I removed my Companionway hatch (V42) today for new lens. would it be better to stick to bottom of teak slider side which mates SS track? Bill SV TaoPao V42 #110 Pls email svtaopao@gmail.com

    1. Hey Bill, our strips have started to degrade in the sun over the past few years. If I had to do it over again, I would stick them on the bottom surface of the sliding hatch rather than the top surface of the companionway frame. Ours are needing to be replaced pretty soon, and that may be just what I do.
