Hey, it actually fits

Cockpit coaming

How ’bout that feeling you get when you work on something for months and are finally rewarded with success?

Cockpit coaming

I haven’t posted much lately, but trust me, I’ve been busy working on the boat every chance I get.  The big project looming over my head of course, has been how to rebuild the raised coamings around the cockpit.

Port side deck and lower moldings

Side deck without teak

I haven’t been posting much lately, but I’ve been making progress on the side decks.  Weekends and evenings are the only time we get to work on the boat the last few weeks and it seems like things are going slower than usual.

Like Dad always said, “If it’s stuck, use a bigger hammer.  If it breaks, it probably needed fixin’ anyway.”

Winch parts

There are a lot of weird words out there in the world.  Some industries, sports, and hobbies have their fair share of weird words.  Sailing is no exception.  In fact, sailing may have more than an average amount of weird words (jibe, poop deck, and scuttlebutt come to mind).
